With TxTag, you'll always pay the lowest rates on all toll roads in Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. TxTag works wherever you see the TxTag logo or these signs and symbols:
TxTag makes paying tolls easy. The thin TxTag sticker goes on the inside of your windshield behind your rearview mirror. An electronic reader above the toll roads sends a signal to the microchip inside the sticker, and tolls are automatically deducted from your prepaid TxTag account.
You can easily check your toll transactions and account balance or make payments to your account online or by phone. Also, you can opt-in to receive alerts via text message when you have a low balance, credit card decline, or credit card expiration. You can close your account and get a refund of your balance at any time.
Get started with a TxTag today. When you open an account with $20 in prepaid tolls, you'll receive a TxTag Starter Kit that contains all you need to start using your tag, including installation instructions. And, if you sign up for AutoPay and link your account to a credit card, PIN-less debit card, or bank account, your TxTag stickers are free.
It's important to keep your TxTag installed and make sure your account and license plate information is up to date, so you are always charged correctly for your tolls on toll roads throughout Texas and in Kansas and Oklahoma.
AutoPay is the easiest way to keep money in your account. When you set up your account with AutoPay, your credit/debit card or bank account will be charged automatically when your TxTag account drops to a preset low balance amount. The low balance amount will depend on the number of TxTags on your account. You can sign up for AutoPay at any time by logging into your account.
If you do not sign up for AutoPay, you'll need to monitor your account balance and add money when it gets low. If you do not have enough money in your account to cover your tolls, you'll be charged at the higher Pay By Mail toll rates and receive statements by mail with an additional $1.15 fee until your TxTag account is replenished. You may add money to your account online, by phone, in person, or by mailing a check or money order payable to "TxTag CSC" to TxTag, P.O. Box 650749, Dallas, TX 75265-0749. Be sure to include your TxTag account number on the check or money order.
Manage multiple tags on one TxTag account. If you have more than one vehicle, you can order tags for each and manage them all through one account. You should not move TxTag stickers between vehicles because removing the tag can damage the chip inside. You can add vehicles and request TxTag stickers for them by logging into your account or calling the TxTag Customer Service Center.
If you have a business with a fleet of company vehicles that you would like to manage under one toll account, visit our Fleet Accounts page to learn more about TxTag commercial and fleet accounts.
Some vehicles, including motorcycles, need special kinds of tags.
- Motorcycle Tags: Because the TxTag sticker relies on windshield glass to work, motorcycles require a special tag. When you sign up for TxTag or add a vehicle to an existing account, you'll be given the option to select a motorcycle tag. A refundable deposit is required.
- Bumper Tags: Bumper-mounted tags are required for vehicles with certain windshield features and metal in the glass. Because bumper tags can be reused, a refundable deposit is required. If you have questions, call 1-888-468-9824.
