Toll Lane Lights
In the Austin area, some toll lanes have lights that give you information about your TxTag account status. Sometimes there may be two lights used to indicate account information.
Keep in mind that only toll plaza lanes and ramps have toll lane lights. Express toll lanes do not have lights. Here is what the lights mean:
Green Light
Your tag has been read and your account has been charged. Keep driving.
Yellow Light:
A yellow light indicates a low account balance. Keep driving but add money to your account as soon as possible.
If you see both green and yellow lights at the same time, you have a low account balance but enough funds to pay the toll at that ramp or plaza. Add money to your account as soon as possible.
No Light:
If no light comes on, your TxTag account may not have funds or your tag may not be working. If you do not see a light, please add money to your account as soon as possible; or contact the TxTag Customer Service Center if you believe your tag is not working properly. Never back up in the toll lane to pay a toll. If you're not sure that your TxTag account was charged properly, you may check your account online or contact the TxTag Customer Service Center.
