Transfer of SH 121
On April 5, toll operations of SH 121 transfer from the Texas Department of Transportation (Texas Tollways) to the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA). During the transition period, you may receive bills from both Texas Tollways and NTTA because of differences in billing schedules. You will not be billed twice for the same trip. Any unpaid tolls due to Texas Tollways must be paid, and if not paid on time, may be subject to administrative fees and court fines.
Passenger cars will be charged the same toll rates when NTTA assumes operations of SH 121; however, other vehicle classes may see a slight change. Please call 1-877-991-0033 or visit www.ntta.org to obtain toll rates.

Pay Invoices to Avoid Fines
Starting Thursday, January 3, 2008 Texas Tollways customers who have an unpaid toll invoice balance 60 days past due will receive a Notice of Toll Violation. The notice will include the cost of the unpaid toll, plus a $5.00 violation fee for each unpaid toll transaction. A toll transaction occurs EACH TIME a driver goes through a tolling point, and separate violation notices will be sent for each unpaid transaction.
Example: A driver without a toll tag travels through two toll plazas and fails to pay. He receives an invoice in the mail for $1.80 for his toll charges ($0.90 for each toll plaza transaction). Not paying the invoice within 60 days will result in two violation notices. Each violation notice will include a $5 violation fee, plus the original $0.90 toll charge. The driver will owe a total of $11.80 for the two violations.
Avoid violations and ensure you always pay the lowest tolls by opening a TxTag account. New customers can open a TxTag account to get instant toll discounts, up to 33% less than what they would have paid without a TxTag account. Call the TxTag Customer Service Center at 1-888-468-9824 (International: 001-512-874-9998) to set up an account within 30 days of an invoice date and we will reduce those tolls to the TxTag rate and waive the $1.00 invoice fee.
